Graphics Four-Color Process: Controlling the Variables

Intended Audience: Production managers, pre-press supervisors, sales staff, graphic artist, screen makers, printers and quality control for screen printing four-color process on flat stock. This workshop is not suitable for garment/textile printers.

Successful four-color process work requires the printer to maintain a high degree of control over a long list of variables in the areas of prepress, press, and even sales and purchasing. Discuss methods for gaining control over all aspects of the process with industry experts, make extensive use of printed samples, practical densitometer exercises, and live printing to master the task of printing process color. Students are encouraged to bring samples of their production problems for personalized help throughout the week.
